Rearcross started the new season  with a 5 nil hammering away  to Moneygall. If ever evidence was needed that putting a team together for 1 training session 3 nights before the start of the season is not a good idea then the first half of this game proved everything.This new  team were in total disarray from the kick off and found themselves 3 goals down after 10 minutes and conceeded 1 more after 20 minutes. Half time score was Moneygall  4  Rearcross nil
Rearcross started the 2nd half in a much more positive fashion and as the players got to know one another they began to dominate midfield and also defended with more determination.However the home team did score 1 more goal midway through the second half to win the game 5 nil.
